Peridot partners with PlanetPlay to make our planet greener!

Hello everyone,

My name is Jessica, the Product Manager for Peridot and today, I’m ecstatic to share Peridot’s participation in a groundbreaking new initiative called Make Green Tuesday Moves in partnership with PlanetPlay. 

PlanetPlay is a non-profit organization that works with the gaming industry to support and influence positive climate change globally. Their Make Green Tuesday Moves campaign partners with existing studios and games to raise funds for existing sustainability and decarbonization efforts around the world. I’m proud to announce that Peridot will be participating in Make Green Tuesday Moves with an exclusive cosmetic item released on the first Tuesday of every month through the end of 2024. Starting Tuesday July 2, 2024, the Gardener’s Hat cosmetic will be available for purchase in the Peridot in-game store for one month. Additionally, we will donate 100% of our proceeds from sales of the Gardener’s Hat – and future MGTM exclusive cosmetics – to PlanetPlay to help existing and future green initiatives! 

Here at Niantic and on the Peridot team, we believe deeply in our mission to make the world more magical through exploration, exercise, and real-world social interaction. 

The Peridot team has committed to do our part by working with industry leaders such as PlanetPlay who fight to make the world a healthier, more sustainable place for future generations to explore, play and engage with.
