Getting Ready for Niantic Spatial
As you may have heard, Peridot is preparing to spin out to a new startup, Niantic Spatial. As part of this work, there are several changes that we need to make over the next few weeks. We are expecting to continue to invest in your experience, so expect more updates a few months following these changes:
Campfire: Campfire will be moving over to Scopely. You can still use Campfire as a separate experience, however, if you participate in Peridot Communities on Campfire, you may be impacted. We’re stopping support for creating “Peridot” Campfire Groups and removing access to Campfire within the Peridot mobile game. Existing Campfire Groups will remain, but will need to be accessed through the Campfire app.
Friends: All your current Peridot friends will stay connected to you. If you would like to add new friends, you’ll need to do it one-by-one. You will no longer be able to automatically import your contacts from your device into Peridot.
Login: As Pokémon GO, Monster Hunter Now, Pikmin Bloom, and Campfire will be moving to Scopely, your connection with those logins will no longer be supported. The Peridot mobile game will only use login information associated with Peridot, Ingress, and Scaniverse.
Niantic Kids: Niantic Kids will not be supported once these changes take place. If you play with this type of account and are over the age of digital consent, please connect an additional login method to continue playing Peridot.
We are working on these changes and expect them to be live within a few weeks. For exact date changes, please refer to the Help Center for updates. Thanks for your continued love you provide your Dots. We’re appreciative of you opening your lives to us.
